Put them all over one devoted wall or some place you see every morning; like the cork-board in your office at home or work. Use the little affirmations and messages, but you can also use pictures. Pictures, say of your perfect house, the ideal family car and property stuffs. You can also add pictures of fashion, inspirational things, pictures of happy families, your girlfriend (or what your perfect wife would look like)... etc. You get the idea. When you surround yourself with this kind of information, notice it everywhere; and what then you are doing is drawing on the positive energy around you to bring into being all that you desire.

Lie in it

(So great was the extremity of his pain and anguish, that he did not only sigh but roar) --Matthew

We're all going to have to die someday.
Maybe we could thank God for each day as we rise, because we didn't have to be blessed with another day this beautiful gift we call life.

We "make our bed upon awakening", symbolizing that we must accept how we have founded ourselves as people created in the direction of our teachers, and then review what we'd like to do to better ourselves. Anyway, I had always been a "bad" skater, but she helped me to overcome my fear of embarrassment, and my fear of "wiping-out"; and today skating is one of my favorite pastimes. I got a T-shirt from her that sports the logo: FEAR The Thief Of Dreams. For the longest time how I thought I interpreted it was that I should "Fear"... The "Thief Of Dreams". Then one day someone said something to change the way I read that. Today how I interpret it is as that: Fear alone is the thief of dreams. Fear can prevent you from achieving your goals. Today I actually crave to confront my fear. Because I know I am protected. To quote the words of one of my mentors: "Dream Big". So, take care of business; and keep dreaming! Life is a beautiful gift that most of will spend searching for "something". I have learned that my life's best rewards come from being able to give of myself. I could have the world... but there wouldn't be much point in "having" if I wasn't able to share it. Today I walk and "humbly" ask: "What may I do for my fellow man today?" Find what I have best in me to contribute, and kick as much ass with it as possible.

P.O.P. Rocks!

That's right! The (Power Of Prayer) absolutely, 100% rocks. Alot of us don't believe in God, or don't like the regiment of the Churches. If the term "prayer" bothers you in any way... then try to think of it as meditation or something else; whatever suits you best. For me, mealtimes are an extremely easy time for me to remember to show appreciation for my good fortunes, and ask for help if I need it. For the past two years I have prayed at dinner something like this: "Thank-You for giving me this life. And thank-You for allowing me to share it with others. And thank-You for my possessions. Please let this food nourish my mind and my soul, as it nourishes my body; to keep me well and heal me. That I may better do for myself and the others I come into contact with. And adding anything else that I see fit... Things that might seem important for this time in my life. After practicing this technique "religiously"... not only do I believe it, I have become it.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://smhtl.blogspot.com/2005/11/pop-rocks.html' title='P.O.P. And I can't stress enough how important posture is when it comes to being healthy and feeling good. Stand with your arms loose at your sides, feet shoulder-width apart and pointing forward. It is important to keep your knees slightly bent or "un-locked" at all times. This will put less stress on the joints and put the load on the muscles... keeping them in a state of continual excersise. It'll take about a week for your body to adjust to the added stress. And it may feel un-comfortable or "un-natural" at first. Push down with your feet and up with the top of your head, and outward with both shoulders. Thrust forward slightly with the hips. Keep the brow and jaw relaxed, and the tip of the tongue pointed and touching the roof of the mouth just behind the teeth. Keeping in mind not to lock your jaw. This is proper posture. If you were to "side-step" and face the palms of your hands forward, it'd be near impossible to not be ready for anything.

Suck It Up

Your body is a temple. (At least that's what's been said) It's my opinion that "diet" IS important... however I don't think it's as important as simply making sure that you actually eat regularly; and with proper ammounts. Let's face it, alot of us grab a coffee and a doughnut for breakfast, a burger for lunch, and Hamburger Helper for dinner. This is actually good. At least you're eating. Take the right ammounts of food, and chances are you will live a happy life. Remember I said at the beginning: Diet Is Important. Take the time to actually think about what it is that your "building your temple" with. Coffee and doughnuts taste awesome, but make a pretty "soggy" foundation for your day. Shove a descent size bowl of cereal or oatmeal (my personal favorite) with some fruit between "coffee" and "doughnut". That'll get your motor running!

Shine On...

Balance, focus, tenacity; any career's bright stars have those qualities!

--Jane Lockheart

Street Smart

I once watched a telivision program of a contest between two teams. One team credited it's skills by being "educated" by the countries finest colleges and universities. The other's teams talents being credited to the "school of the street". When all was said and done, the "Street Smart" team had won the contest. To me, at least; how I interpret this is: "The type of education in books can make you smart. Life experience is what makes you wise. Sometimes the only way we learn is by our mistakes.
