Street Smart

I once watched a telivision program of a contest between two teams. One team credited it's skills by being "educated" by the countries finest colleges and universities. The other's teams talents being credited to the "school of the street". When all was said and done, the "Street Smart" team had won the contest. To me, at least; how I interpret this is: "The type of education in books can make you smart. Life experience is what makes you wise. Sometimes the only way we learn is by our mistakes. Only by finding out first who we are not, is how we become who we are.
